What You’ll Need:
- scissors
- ruler
- corrugated cardboard
- pencil
- glue
- newspaper or scraps of paper
- paint
- Pesach symbols
- white glue
- plastic wrap
How to Make It:
-
Cut three circles, each 11 inches across, from corrugated cardboard. To make a raised rim for your plate, draw a circle 1 1/2 inches in from the outside edge on two of the circles. Cut on the lines, leaving two rings.
-
Glue the rings, one on top of the other, to the uncut cardboard circle.
-
Tear newspaper or used scraps of paper into pieces 1 inch square. One at a time, glue them flat against the cardboard circle and rings. (You dont need to cover the underside of the cardboard circle.) Let them dry.
-
Paint the plate. Decorate it with Pesach symbols youve cut out and glued down, or paint on whatever designs youd like. Let it dry.
-
Cover the plate with a thin layer of white glue, spreading it on with your fingers. Let it dry.
-
Cover the plate with a piece of plastic wrap cut to fit. Put the Pesach foods on the plate and use it on your seder table.
